Jill and Preston get married

The first time I ever worked with Jackie Cooper she talked of how excited she was about this up coming wedding in Tahoe City, CA. I am pretty sure right then and there I blurted out, “If you need a second shooter I will be there!!!” I LOVE destination weddings! With the way she described what Jill and Preston’s wedding was going to be like, I would have died to have gone and captured some of it. Well, fortunately I didn’t have to die to go there. Soon after I talked to Jackie about it, she reached out to Jill and Preston and they were happy to have me be their second shooter. Little did I know then, that I wasn’t just going to Lake Tahoe to capture a beautiful wedding; I was going there to capture two of the most genuine people get married. I fell in love with them and their families more than the “details” of the day. I am still blown away by how giving, creative, and caring their families are. I felt truly welcome. I am excited to see how Jill and Preston leave a mark on this world, and feel blessed to have shared a part of the beginning to their ever after.

That’s not all folks! Here is a video by the very talented Sarah Gerber.

Also, Jill’s siblings, Eric and Megan, used their iPhones to make a time-lapse video of the whole day. Fun!

Thank you Jill and Preston for allowing me to be a part of your day. Jackie Cooper certainly didn’t need me. I really can’t say enough about her, and I am so blessed to call her a friend. Her work speaks for itself. Please check out the Jill + Preston published feature on The Blueberry Weddings Blog. Her pictures are amazing, and definitely publish worthy. Also take a look at the Jill and Preston post on her blog. Thank you Jackie for letting me tag along.

These images are so intimate and beautiful. I felt raptured into this couple’s special day. You’re a true storyteller through your beautiful pictures. What a breathtaking place; what a gorgeous couple; and what amazing photos. I don’t know these people, and I wasn’t at their wedding but I find myself wishing every good thing for them because I feel like I know them through your work. Great job, Jessi!
